Aliana Mawla is clarifying the timeline of her and Liam Payne’s relationship, and fully shut down cheating allegations. To get everyone on the same page in this somewhat confusing saga, Liam recently broke up with his fiancée Maya Henry, and news of the split went down amid a photo of him cozying up to another person floating around the internet.
Maya commented on a fan account’s post of the pic (via @popcrave), saying “I love all of the fans so much but please stop sending me these pictures of my fiancé wrapped around another woman. This is not me and it’s hard enough knowing this has happened without seeing it. Enough now.”

On top of that, The Daily Mail reported that Liam was dating Aliana Mawla, and published photos of them strolling through an airport arm-in-arm. This led people to assume Liam cheated on Maya with Aliana, and she just released a statement through her rep saying this is very much not the case.

“Aliana is very taken back by the accusations that have been made regarding a relationship with Liam while he was still engaged or involved with [his] ex fiancé,” her rep told E! News. “Under no circumstances would Aliana have involved herself in a public relationship as such if there was any truth to the comments that have been made. She is very protective of her personal life and has nothing more to say at the moment other than she is very happy and does not wish to discuss this situation moving forward.”
A source previously told E! News that Maya was “blindsided” by the breakup, and that Liam “abruptly ended it with her.” However, Liam’s rep told Us Weekly that the split “over a month ago.” This has been an update!
