Apparently There’s “Uncertainty” That Prince Harry’s Memoir Will Be Released This Year

Looks like there’s a bit of ~uncertainty~ about the publication date of Prince Harry’s memoir. The book was expected to drop in 2022, but a spokesperson for Penguin Random House recently told The Sunday Times that there isn’t a publication date at this time. Meanwhile, a source said there is “some uncertainty” as to when the book will come out.

The Sunday Times notes that the potential delay of the book could spark relief in the royal family, who are, as usual, spiraling. Back in July 2021, a source told The Mirror that news of the memoir set off a “tsunami of fear” among the royals, while another insider told The Sun that Prince Charles is stressed that the book could target Duchess Camilla. “Charles has shared his concerns with William and is keen he somehow goes on the record and sticks up for Camilla should the book attack her,” the source said. “But as much as William loves his father, he’s unlikely to want to get involved. In all likelihood, he will try and stay neutral.”

The official press release for Harry’s book said that he’d be sharing a “definitive account of the experiences, adventures, losses, and life lessons that have helped shape him.” We can also expect the memoir to cover his “lifetime in the public eye from childhood to the present day, including his dedication to service, the military duty that twice took him to the frontline of Afghanistan, and the joy he has found in being a husband and father.”

Harry also released the following pretty non-dramatic (@ the royals!) statement:

“I’m writing this not as the prince I was born but as the man I have become. I’ve worn many hats over the years, both literally and figuratively, and my hope is that in telling my story—the highs and lows, the mistakes, the lessons learned—I can help show that no matter where we come from, we have more in common than we think.”

So yeah…no reason for the royals to spiral.
