Kimberley Walsh was a proud mum on Monday as she waved her second eldest son off for his first day at school, sharing adorable snaps of him in his uniform.

Four-year-old Cole was starting at the same primary school as his older brother Bobby, seven, who also posed for his mum’s photographs.

Bobby stood with his arms around younger brother Cole, smiling broadly, before 39-year-old Kimberley took some solo pictures of ‘baby Cole’, including one with him wearing his big book bag over his shoulder.

Girls Aloud star Kimberley captioned the photo drop with ‘Good luck baby Cole 🤞📚❤️’ as he took the big step of starting school.

The 2012 Strictly Come Dancing runner-up shares Bobby and Cole with her husband of five-years, Justin Scott.

The pair welcomed their third son, Nate, in June.

Cole’s big day comes at an emotional time for Kimberley, after the death of her Girls Aloud bandmate Sarah Harding from cancer on September 5.

Harding’s death at the age of 39 came just over a year after she made her breast cancer diagnosis public.

In the aftermath of the news, Kimberley took to Instagram to pay tribute to Harding, sharing a photo of them hugging at the Brit Awards as she admitted her ‘heart is broken’.

She wrote: ‘Beautiful Sarah this hurts so bad. To wake up and know that you are really gone is too much to bear. Hearing your infectious chuckle was one of my favourite things in the world.

‘Your fire burned so bright and you loved, lived and laughed so hard. Sending love and strength to everyone who is grieving today. My heart is broken.’

In late June, Kimberley said that she was ‘focusing on being there’ for Harding.

In an interview with OK!, she explained: She’s literally a superhero for dealing with what she’s going through and managing to release her book.

‘I’m just here for her with absolutely anything she needs and she knows that, it’s important to know you have support and are loved.’

On Sunday night, Kimberley shared footage of a Girls Aloud show with Harding dazzling as she took the lead on vocals for 1980s classic Footloose, writing: ‘Can’t stop watching this so thought I’d share 💫’

Bandmate Cheryl posted a moving reflection on Harding’s death as she explained: ‘Although we knew this day would arrive I am somehow still feeling at a loss for words that our stunning, unique, crazy, quirky, kind and soft hearted girl has departed.’

Nadine Coyle shared that she was ‘absolutely devastated’ at the news, while Nicola Roberts posted: ‘There are so many things to say and at first it felt to personal to put them here and then I remembered that there are so many other people grieving her too.

‘A part of me or us isn’t here anymore and it’s unthinkable and painful and utterly cruel. She would have loved your messages today ♥️’

On Sunday, Nadine took to Instagram again to mark one week since Harding’s death, who she hailed ‘a shining light’.

‘Thinking of you all day everyday & trying to imagine how your new journey is going.

‘Please feel free to come visit me anytime. I know lots of people will want some Sarah spirit time so I can wait my turn,’ she wrote.
