Nick Frost has shared his anxiety at returning to work following the birth of his third child.

The 49-year-old Hot Fuzz actor, who excitedly announced the arrival of his newborn last week, admitted that he was nervous at the thought of acting once again and said he felt it was ‘too soon’ to leave his partner and their little one.

Nick shared a selfie of himself lying on a pillow to his Instagram alongside a caption that voiced his concerns.

’I’ve got to go back to do filming tomorrow for the first time since April. I’m sh*tting it,’ he penned.

‘So nervous. Trying to breath and stay in the now but adhd brain galloping ahead and working out every possible outcome of everything until the year 3155.

‘I know my lines. It’s not live. Crews are lovely to me, but still the thought of standing up there and trying to act makes me vomit.’

Nick continued: ‘It’s always like this, for the past 20 years. I also don’t want to leave the baby or Mum. It’s too soon. Tell me it’ll be alright.’

A number of Nick’s showbiz pals reached out to offer words of support, including The Bay’s Morven Christie, who wrote: ‘It’ll be great.

‘When I feel like that I focus on making other people feel sound and seen and before I know it I’ve forgotten I was sh*tting myself.’

Comedian Jonah Ray added: ‘It’s in your bones to be good and do the work. This too shall pass.’

Nick’s anxiety about returning to work comes three days after he took his third child home from the hospital.

The star is already a father to a three-year-old son with his girlfriend, who he is said to have been dating since 2018.

However, Nick’s partner has never been publicly pictured and the name of their child has never been revealed.

Nick also co-parents his eldest child Mac, 10, with his ex-wife Christina Frost – who he split from in 2013 before divorcing in 2015, after seven years of marriage.
