Jamie (Mila Kunis) and Dylan (Justin Timberlake) explore the nuances of no-strings-attached hookups in Friends With Benefits. Initially, their casual relationship goes pretty smoothly, and the two stay friends when Jamie breaks things off to form a real relationship with someone else. But their relationship becomes more complicated when the two start hooking up again and question whether it’s possible to keep things casual in the long term. This movie offers the right balance of sexy and feel-good vibes.
Sexy films can be educational, too, as this documentary exhibits. Skin explores the history of nudity in movies from the very beginning with silent films to modern-day Hollywood movies. Yes, there’s plenty of nudity (and sex scenes), but there are also interviews and commentary on how movies have changed throughout time, as well as interesting insight into how sex scenes are filmed.
This movie is based on the life of artist Frida Kahlo (Salma Hayek) and details her childhood, relationship with her husband, Diego Rivera (Alfred Molina), and her numerous affairs. As a teen, Frida is involved in an accident, and while she’s recovering, begins painting. She meets Diego, a muralist, who becomes her mentor. They fall in love, marry, and have an intense relationship with each person having numerous affairs (at one point Diego has a relationship with Frida’s sister). They eventually divorce, but they can’t stay away from each other and later remarry. Between the beautiful costumes, skillful acting, and plentiful sex scenes, there’s so much to enjoy in Frida.
